A Spotlight On: Hannah Vincent

Name: Hannah Vincent

Position: Corporate Support Lead

What do you do at Viaduct Care? I provide PA and administration support for the Chair and Executive team and manage the Board meetings and support the non-executives.

What relevant experience did you have before taking up this role? I have been doing this role for about 6 years now previously at the National Union of Students, a very interesting place to work which was highly political and gave me a greater understanding of politics.

What is your favourite Film or TV show? A tough question, my all-time favourite TV show was Friends but recently I binged on Jane the Virgin on Netflix. And my favourite films are probably Mary Poppins and The Sound of Music alongside lots of other musicals. I also enjoy watching TED Talks, if you have yet to discover them go and take a look online it’s really worth it.

If you were a superhero, what superpower would you have? Invisibility, for many reasons, I can be a fly on the wall, go places for free and have some peace and quiet!

What do you like to do in your spare time? As a new mum there are always fun and games (and tidying up!) to be had with my 18 month old. But mostly I enjoy walking, going out with my huge family and their children, and I am a keen sewer, I make clothes and other crafty bits.

You have been asked to choose a country to spend six months in. Where would it be? I would love to say Australia as my sister lives there so a catch up would be nice, but really it would be Canada, I love the landscapes and feel really peaceful there.

Do you have any funny jokes or quotes you can share with us? My jokes are far too long and only make me laugh according to my family!! But life really is like a box of chocolates….

What book would you recommend for having a positive impact on your life? I really love lots of books but some that in my lifetime have really gotten me thinking are: English Passengers, Prisoners of our Geography and A Thousand Splendid Suns. I would really recommend the second one to better understand our world today.

What musician would you most like to meet and why? I have an eclectic taste so this is a tough one but a chat with James Taylor or Bob Dylan would be interesting, their music was a big part of my childhood and I still listen to them today.

What is your closest brush with fame? I have been on ITV’s SMTV live as a teenager and met Ant Dec and Cat, they are lovely in real life!
