Position: First Contact Physiotherapist

What do you do at Viaduct Care? Provide a First Contact Physiotherapy service in GP clinics across Stockport providing specialist care of Musculo-skeletal conditions

What relevant experience did you have before taking up this role? I qualified as a Physiotherapist in 1997 and gained a Master’s degree in 2006 and I worked as an extended scope practitioner in an Orthopaedic triage service for 13 years

What is your favourite Film or TV show? The Blacklist it is entertaining and it does not take itself too seriously.  Raymond Reddington is one of the all time great villains. We first started watching it just after Ellie was born in March 2015 we watched the first series on catch up when I was on paternity leave and we have carried on watching ever since.

If you were a superhero, what superpower would you have?  Weatherman : it would be mainly sunshine!

What do you like to do in your spare time? Spend time with the family Jenny, Maddy 11, Ellie 4 and Izzy 2.  We went to Blackpool last year for my mum and dad’s golden wedding anniversary and the kids were desperate to go back again so we went recently.  We managed to fit the Sandcastle Waterpark the Zoo and the illuminations into one day but we ended up with ropey fish and chips because we ran out of time.

You have been asked to choose a country to spend six months in. Where would it be? French alps at the end of winter for the skiing and get on the bike in the spring and summer.

Do you have any funny jokes or quotes you can share with us? Success is not final, failure is not fatal, it is the courage to continue that counts.

What book would you recommend for having a positive impact on your life? Frank Skinner autobiography: laughter is a cracking medicine and Sir Alex Ferguson’s autobiography for his take on the night United beat Bayern Munich in Barcelona to win the Champions league which is my best football memory.

What musician would you most like to meet and why? Brandon Flowers from The Killers to see if he has got a couple of spare tickets for their gig at the Etihad next year!
